What's a .hqx file extension

Question: I have a cd full of hqx files that are supposed to be fonts from my cousin. He says they are working my computer says doesnt want to open them with anything. |

Staffer: Matt | Posted: 11.25.09 Answer: hqx files are Macintosh file compression files. So you either need a Mac or a hqx reader, or sit reader. I think a sit reader will work. Try downloading a stuffit demo. That should allow you to open the files. the files inside are .ttf True Type Fonts most likely and can be installed on both Mac and Windows. Before you try anything you should think about doing a free scan for .hqx related registry errors. This will ensure your computer is ready to precede. |
