What's a .swf file extension

	Person: Guest \| Posted: 09.10.09 Question: I downloaded Visible 2 from crazymonkeygames.com and instead of putting it on my site (i dont have one), I want to play it on my computer. The file in question is visible2.swf and I cant my computer doesnt know what to open it witch. Do I need an emulator or something?
	Staffer: Matt \| Posted: 09.10.09 Answer: A swf file is a flash file. Most online games are swf files, but they are embedded in html or similar pages. You can play them on your computer, but you need to do a few things first. Right click the file visible2.swf select "open with" from the context menu. Select browse, then "select the program from a list" option. Now choose Internet Explorer from that menu. Now put a check in "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" Now you should be able to just double click .swf files and they will by default open in internet explorer! Before you try anything you should think about doing a free scan for .swf related registry errors. This will ensure your computer is ready to precede.
