What's a .xls file extension

Question: Like i said, ive been able to open power points in the past i have it installed on both my laptop and desktop, when i open my file its gives me chinese or some gibberish with foreign numbers. Used the Windows XP Vista show extensions as you requested and here is the file. actc-use.xls |

Thats why you cant open it right, and its not Chinese thats what Microsoft does when it cant figure out the character encoding or format. No biggie. So what you need to do is open it with Excel and not Powerpoint and that should get you where you need to go.
